Angela

Manager

For a family to entrust you with the care of their loved one truly is a privilege, my role is to create a safe and welcoming space for families, allowing them to have both a personalised and professional service.

Frank

Assistant Manager

As Assistant Manager at The Hurlet, I help oversee the day-to-day running of the crematorium and support our team in delivering a professional, compassionate and high-quality service to the families we serve.
My role is varied, and no two days are ever quite the same. I work closely with colleagues, funeral directors and families to ensure that every service, memorial and cremation is carried out with care, dignity and attention to detail.
One of the most important parts of my role is supporting bereaved families. I understand that every family and every situation is unique, and I am committed to providing guidance, reassurance and practical support during what can be a very difficult time.
I am passionate about creating a welcoming and respectful environment where families feel cared for and supported. I take great pride in contributing to the compassionate service that The Hurlet Crematorium provides to our community.

Annie

Ceremony Hall Attendant

As a Funeral Director working within a different culture before, I am really grateful to join this helpful, hardworking and professional team serving people in Glasgow and Scotland during their difficult time.

Karen

Crematorium Assistant

As a Crematorium Assistant, I play an important role in ensuring that every family who comes to The Hurlet receives the highest standards of care, dignity and respect. I understand the trust families place in us during one of the most difficult times in their lives and it is an honour to help them through it. I help to maintain a peaceful and welcoming environment while supporting the smooth running of daily operations.

Jason

Cremator Technician

I have the privilege of working behind the scenes to ensure that every cremation is carried out with the utmost dignity, care and respect. I understand that families place a great deal of trust in us during one of the most difficult times in their lives, and I take that responsibility very seriously.
My role involves operating and maintaining the cremation equipment and ensuring all procedures are carried out safely and professionally. Attention to detail is essential, and I am committed to making sure every aspect of the process is completed to the highest possible standard.
Although much of my work takes place away from public view, I am proud to play a part in helping families receive the respectful and compassionate service they deserve. Being part of a dedicated team that supports bereaved families every day is something I value greatly

John

Gardener

I am responsible for caring for and maintaining the grounds and memorial gardens at The Hurlet Crematorium. My aim is to ensure that the gardens remain a peaceful, beautiful and welcoming place where families can spend time remembering their loved ones.
I take great pride in maintaining the grounds throughout the year, from seasonal planting and landscaping to preparing memorial plots and caring for the memorial gardens. I understand how important these spaces are to the families who visit us, and I work hard to ensure they are always presented to the highest standard.
One of the most rewarding parts of my role is knowing that the gardens provide comfort and reflection for those who have experienced loss. I feel privileged to contribute to creating an environment that offers peace, remembrance and lasting memories for the families we serve.
