A quiet place to remember and reflect
Peaceful surroundings, cared for throughout the year
Our beautiful, award-winning memorial garden extends over four acres of open landscape, all set against the backdrop of the Hurlet Hills.
This is a calm space for private reflection. Families and visitors are welcome to spend time here throughout the seasons, finding comfort in surroundings that are peaceful, well-kept and safe.
The Hurlet’s memorial gardens receive year-round care from our on-site gardeners, helping the grounds remain a fitting place to return to whenever you wish.

An RHS Chelsea Gold Medal garden, replanted with care at The Hurlet
In 2023, we were chosen to receive parts of Myeloma UK’s A Life Worth Living Garden, a Gold Medal winner at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show designed by renowned horticulturalist Chris Beardshaw.
Nine trees have been carefully relocated and replanted here, along with hedging, stone paving and oak setts from that garden. Together, these additions bring award-winning structure and planting to an already beautiful landscape, further enriching the setting for remembrance and reflection.
Memorial options
For every service, we plant a tree in our garden. Some families also choose a memorial as a further way to mark a life and create a lasting place to reflect.
- Memorial plaques
- Tree or shrub dedication
- Inscriptions
- Other personalised arrangements

Scattering the ashes
We have quiet areas within the grounds where you can scatter the ashes of the deceased. These are natural, unobtrusive places, cared for with attention and sensitivity.
The gardens are maintained by our own team. Paths are kept clear and planting is seasonal, so the landscape and colours change through the year.
Families are welcome to return at any time to remember and reflect in surroundings designed to feel peaceful and respectful.
