2022 Scottish Funeral Awards Finalists

The Hurlet Crematorium has been named the Best Crematorium in Scotland at the prestigious 2022 Scottish Funeral Awards.

The Awards were created to establish an independent platform in recognition of the diverse range of people and organisations working within funeralcare across Scotland.

The prestigious Best Crematorium in Scotland category recognises the highest levels of care and service, alongside excellence in architecture and design, alongside ethics and environmental systems.

Commenting on being named the Best Crematorium in Scotland, David McNaughton, Manager of The Hurlet Crematorium said:

“We are incredibly proud of the service we provide here at The Hurlet Crematorium, and for the work we do in the community, including fundraising for our local Hospice Charity Partners.

“We have the most fantastic, modern and comfortable building, providing a unique sense of space and tranquillity. The team we have here at The Hurlet Crematorium are also very special, and we take great pride in the higher levels of care, empathy and sensitivity we provide for every family, and for every service.

“By bringing both of these things together, we have created a very special and unique place here at The Hurlet, and we are now officially the Best Crematorium in the country.

“Our sincere thanks go to all of our funeral director colleagues for their support and to the many people and stakeholders who have helped us achieve this special accolade.”

Jeremy Hamilton, one of the founders of The Hurlet Crematorium added:
